10.OR G

10.OR G The new kid on the block. When you have 100’s of model to choose from with like of oppo/vivo/in-focus and not to mention everyone’s favorite Xiaomi ; then why would anyone would on to jump for the new  and untested? Who know it might end like Le-eco who spent Crores of rupee on marketing and then went bust.

The simple answer is the urge to try something new. When you are bored with seeing same on everyone hand, the G gives you something fresh.

The newly launched phone is coming Android Nougat 7.1.12 out of the box which is the latest aversion with confirmed upgrade to Android 8.0.

Let’s talk about the problems or the Cons first before jumping to pros like everything else

The biggest sulking point for me was the speaker during call. You would never hear anything at all in a moving vehicle or out-doors with speakers turned on during call. Playing you-tube indoors is Okish.

And then there is the front camera with not so great picture quality which you would expect from a 16MP front camera with LED flash.

These were the problems faced when I bought it on day 1 launch sale on Great Amazon Festival. The cash back which would come in Jan 2018 and exchange for my old phone gave me the total cost as INR 9000 which made it a very tempting offer for 4gb-64 GB combo.

Before you decide to put off the purchase, I have good news to share that 10.or has released software update to cover these issues and results are better . As you can see in attached screenshot download of 255 MB with list of fixes promising these updates

Here is the screen after successfully updating the software update.

The new stock now being sold on Amazon is now coming with these update so it is heartening to see that viable competitor is coming up who listens to its review and tries to deliver a better experience to its fans.I will not talks about all other features as you could read the same in all other reviews.

Key point are that it’s a dual hybrid slot mean memory card + sim cared or both sim card.

If you use the cable and charges supplies with the handset you get better charging.

Takes about 4 hours to fully charge from 20% to 100% with Wi-fi ON and no games playing

If you are not into heavy gaming then will easily last for 2-3 days after full charge with data on.

I use ‘Scheduled On-Off’ feature which I find the most important feature of an handset. Turn off at 12:30 very night till 6 AM very morning and saves you hell lot of batter. Do try it for extending your battery life

Metal body is not that slippery. I still can’t find decent cover in local market for this handset though I purchased and put on local screen guard for Rs. 80

You will get about 52 GB usable space. Approx. 8 GB is a taken by Android.

The new update also displays battery %age on top now which was earlier missing in my case.

You should also install 10.Orr care app from play store and run full diagnostics as well

Here are the specs on paper. I would definitely recommend to buy this handset if you want to try something new and tired of all those handset makers all over facebook and TV’s Do try out and let me know the feedback
